More Than One Approach To Power
If you want to maximize performance, Impala SS features the 303 hp 5.3L V8 with Active Fuel Management ® that shuts down four of eight cylinders in low-demand situations to increase fuel efficiency. Even more efficient are the 211 hp 3.5L V6 in the LS and LT and the 233 hp 3.9L V6 in LTZ. Both V6 engines feature variable valve timing (VVT) and are FlexFuel capable, allowing them to run on E85 ethanol.

It Intervenes So You Don't Have To
StabiliTrak, the electronic stability control system continuously monitors steering angle, wheel speeds, brake pressure and lateral acceleration. It intervenes automatically to counter the affects of understeer or oversteer conditions. StabiliTrak is standard on Impala LTZ and SS.
