Helping Canada Own the Podium in 2010

GM is a proud supporter of the Own the Podium 2010 program, a $110-million initiative designed to help Canada become the number one medal-winning nation at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games in and to place in the top three nations at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games.

Along with 13 of Canada's national sport federations and a number of other partners, GM is throwing its support behind Canada's athletes as they prepare for the competition of their lives. "GM has been there to support athletes for many years through the Pontiac GMC Cup and sponsorship of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team, so it is a natural progression for GM to be a major supporter of Canadian Olympians and Paralympians in the 2010 Winter Games," says Olympian and President of Alpine Canada Alpin, Ken Read.
