Find the strong and dependable mid-size pickup.
You need a pickup that will see you through. Year in and year out. Not every mid-size pickup is up to the task — not every mid-size pickup offers the power and confidence of the Chevy Colorado. The lineup features two advanced dual overhead cam Vortec engines with variable valve timing. And you get your choice of Regular, Extended and Crew Cab models, with a standard Z85 or rugged off-road Z71 suspensions. And for 2008, Colorado gives you the added confidence of the standard OnStar° system (on LT models) , as well as the backing of the best coverage in Canada, with our $0 deductible 5 year/160,000 km Powertrain Limited Warranty,† in addition to 5 year/160,000 km Courtesy Transportation and Roadside Assistance.† Let's go — and keep going. In Chevrolet Colorado. Let's go the distance.
The 185 hp Vortec 2.9L I-4 and 242 hp 3.7L I-5 engines share advanced technology — including variable valve timing — that optimizes both output and fuel efficiency. Both engines are light in weight, thanks to the use of airplane-grade A356 aluminum in the engine block. And they are exceptionally smooth and balanced, with dual balance shafts.
Colorado Crew Cab can seat up to six people in genuine comfort with the available 60/40 reclining split-bench front seat. Or you can opt for the luxury of heated, leather-appointed front bucket seats on LT models. And the 60/40 split flat-folding rear seats provide useful flexibility. The mid-size pickup cab that is as comfortable as it is practical: Colorado Crew Cab.
Some mid-size pickups lack the serious truck credentials of Colorado. It offers the substantial hauling capacities required to handle your loads, with payloads that go all the way up to 702 kg (1547 lb.)** and maximum trailer weights of up to 1814 kg (4000 lb.).†† And there's an available Z71 Off-Road Suspension and automatic rear locking differential for serious off-roading.
There is much more to Colorado's advanced engineering than its strength. Its standard safety package features an intelligent air bag system, tire pressure monitoring system and OnStar°. This thorough approach to safety helped Colorado Crew Cabs earn the highest U.S. government safety rating - five stars — for the driver and front passenger in the frontal crash test.***
This year, the TON Program is going to be heavy-duty. We've added a lot more weight to CHEVY TON - including the chance to network with a larger group of truck owners. Get monthly maintenance tips, coverage of the Auto Shows, learn about Chevrolet's commitment to the Olympics, hear stories from truck owners across the country, and get more opportunities to be heard online.
