2009 GMC Envoy

The Real Deal

In a world of cars masquerading as SUVS, Envoy and Envoy Denali stand apart. Engineered by the truck specialists at GMC, Envoy and Envoy Denali are loaded with genuine SUV hardware like stout ladder frames, muscular Vortec engines and standard Autotrac™ four-wheel drive, so they can handle almost any challenge with ease and confidence. At the same time, they offer interior accommodations of unexpected refinement and, in Envoy Denali's case, real luxury. Factor in a five-star side-impact crash test rating and some of today's most sophisticated technologies, such as StabiliTrak™, OnStar ® and head curtain side-impact air bags, and you've got an outstanding combination of capability, comfort and safety. The professional grade Envoy and Envoy Denali. They're the real thing.

2009 GMC Envoy Denali

Powerful Motivation

Lift the hood on any Envoy model and you'll find an engine designed for power and efficiency. Envoy SLE and SLT models feature a smooth 4.2L Vortec I-6 that generates 285 hp. Envoy Denali ups the ante with a 5.3L Vortec V8 that puts out 300 hp and a very generous 321 lb.-ft. of torque.

2009 GMC Envoy StabiliTrak

Engineered for Control

Among Envoy's advanced features is a standard StabiliTrak electronic stability control system which steps in automatically to help put an end to sideways skids. In SUVs, electronic stability control has been proven to reduce the risk of a fatal single-vehicle crash by 63%.**

2009 GMC Envoy air bags

Highest Safety Rating

Envoy is equipped with a host of important safety features, including full-length head curtain side-impact air bags. So it's no wonder that Envoy recieved the highest U.S. government safety rating – 5 stars – for driver and passenger protection in a crash at the side of the vehicle.

2009 GMC Envoy

A Gripping Tale

Thanks to GMC's professional grade engineering, Envoy is a vehicle you'll drive with confidence, even in the worst weather. Every model includes fog lights, Autotrac TM 4WD and anti-lock brakes as standard equipment.

2009 GMC Envoy with trailer hitch

Heavy Hauler

Looking for a vehicle to tow your boat to the lake? Envoy is a great choice. With a standard heavy-duty trailering package and a maximum trailer rating of 2586 kg (5700 lb.), Envoy handles tough towing assignments with ease. And Envoy Denali is capable of even more, 2948 kg (6500 lb.) when properly equipped.
