Philanthropic contributions are evidence of a company's good corporate citizenship and General Motors of Canada Limited believes that providing support in the communities in which it operates and has a significant employee population, is of vital importance. Our Contributions Program has been developed with a clear focus, which we strive to maintain as we target specific organizations.
General Motors of Canada Limited believes quality education is vital
to the future of our industry. We continue to make donations to post-secondary
education institutions for funding of scholarships and bursaries designed
to create education opportunities for students across Canada. (Photo: Kathryn Pratt receives one of many scholarship awards that are given out annually to deserving Durham College students. The Manager of Charitable Contributions was on hand to recognize the award recipients. GM has long supported post secondary education across Canada.) In an effort to strengthen community awareness and improve the lives of our employees and customers, General Motors of Canada remains committed to being a good corporate citizen. Some of the organizations that derive our support are: MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), Junior Achievement, the United Way, Scouts Canada and Girl Guides Canada. General Motors of Canada Limited supports a variety of environmental organizations whose objectives, goals and activities are aligned with the General Motors Environmental Principles. Special consideration is given to environmental projects with a national focus. --- If you have a charitable contributions proposal that you wish to submit regarding your project or initiative, please submit in writing to: Manager, Charitable Contributions Consideration will be given to requests that meet our Charitable Contributions focus. |
